Delicate and distinct. Tiny pieces of petal have a slightly chewy texture, similar to artichoke (which makes sense since artichoke is a flower too). Other rose preserves we've tried have been harsh or overpowering and sometimes contain added rose water to boost the flavor. This one doesn't contain rose water or any added pectin either, so it's on the thinner side, allowing the nice clean flavor to coat your tongue and come through even more. Pietro Romanengo fu Stefano has been operating since the 18th century and is renowned as one of Italy's finest confectioners. They've been making this special preserve for a long time!
